MO 4Media - Your Remote Control and Player
MO 4Media is a free Android app developed by Dancing Tree that functions as a remote control for JRiver Media Center (MC) software running on a computer. It allows you to control MC playback over Wi-Fi with your device and play audio, music files, and video files to your device with optional volume leveling and file conversion. You can also view images on your device with optional file conversion. Additionally, it is a music player for Android Auto and supports video, audio, and images playback on Android TV.
To use MO 4Media, you must have a running copy of JRiver Media Center on a networked computer and enable "Media Network" in MC for you to connect and access your media. MO 4Media offers features such as controlling separate zones, creating playlists, running macros, and casting. You can also control networked A/V equipment volumes with the device volume buttons.
The free version has some limitations such as only playing the first three files in "Playing Now" and only 30 seconds of video playback. However, these limitations can be removed with a one-time in-app purchase of $9.99.
